At this point in the story, Holland’s Drake appears to be around 20 years old, maybe even a little older. The Uncharted trailer starts with a scene of Nate working as a bartender in an upscale New York City lounge. In the Uncharted movie, however, Holland’s Nathan Drake meets Sully quite differently. The two characters cross paths when they both make a play for the same treasure, ultimately starting a beautiful, lifelong mentorship and friendship. At the time, Nate’s in Colombia, making his own way through the world and trying to steal a ring that belonged to famed pirate Sir Francis Drake – something Sully also happens to be after. In the Uncharted video games, Nathan Drake meets Sully when he’s just 15. Here are the biggest retcons the Uncharted movie is making. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the film will be a failure, but it doesn’t bode well for those looking for a faithful recreation of the games. There are a number of obvious retcons visible throughout, both in terms of character portrayals and the overall timeline of the franchise. Unfortunately, the new Uncharted movie trailer hints that the film may not be getting that balance right. Related: Uncharted: Every Game Character In The Movie & How They Compare Obviously, some things must be changed to make video games work on the big screen, but striking the balance of how much to alter and how much to keep the same is difficult to find. A big reason why so many past attempts have failed is because they change too much about the core story of their games, leading to films that hold little appeal for new audiences or fans of the originals. Luckily, it looks like Uncharted may succeed on both fronts. When it comes to adapting video games, Hollywood doesn’t exactly have a stellar track record. This bodes well for the upcoming movie as it will have to sell the classic franchise to newcomers while also integrating new and exciting action for those familiar with the games. The helicopters lifting old pirate ships out of the jungle, which leads to a battle aboard the ships in mid-air, is a major change to the Uncharted games, but fitting for their innovative and adventurous action. While most of the scenes had been teased before, it looks like the new movie's climactic final battle has been shown off in the latest video. In addition to the reveal of Sully's mustache, the Uncharted trailer also shows off some incredible action. Now, it looks like Sony has taken notice and even included a joke about it in the latest trailer, with Holland's character ribbing Sully for the sudden appearance of a mustache on his face. Many were also concerned about Sully's lack of a mustache in the first Uncharted trailer even though set videos had previously shown Wahlberg sporting one. Having the Uncharted movie take place during Nathan Drake's youth has been a point of contention for many fans, especially those who wanted to see someone like Nathan Fillion take on the main role. However, the new Uncharted trailer also officially reveals Sully's famous mustache and an insane new action scene atop flying ships that are hooked up to helicopters. The clip features many of the action sequences already teased in the first trailer, including the one where Holland falls out of a plane over a clear blue ocean. Now, with a few short months until Uncharted's release, Sonyhas unveiled a new trailer for the movie. Related: Every Uncharted Game Moment In The Movie Trailer In addition to Holland and Wahlberg, Uncharted also stars Antonio Banderas as the movie's villain and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina alum Tati Gabrielle. The mix of the old and the new appears to be integral to the Uncharted movie as it seeks to bring in fans of the video games and new audiences unfamiliar with the franchise. The first Uncharted trailer showed that the movie will be adapting the earlier years of Nathan Drake's treasure hunting while incorporating some beloved action scenes from the game.

How to Find and Remove Viruses on Android Phones and iPhones If you go to the system preferences and type in "language input" in the search field you'll get to the area where you can change the languages (and keyboards) with a keystroke (command-space bar, etc).I use the Sophokeys layout for minuscule greek ( ). I was able to use the quite functional Greek/Coptic font, Antinoou ( ) but keep the same key bindings as Sylvanus (at least for the most part). If I need to make or rework a keyboard layout, I use Ukulele ( ).It might be worth it to type hieroglyphs and cuneiform on an iPad, save it in Pages or something else, and send it to your Mac via Dropbox, etc.Īlso, see my post "Installing custom fonts and keyboards on iPad" atĪs to the other parts of this discussion about keyboard layouts, here's what I've found on the mac side of things: Keyman is available with the Egyptian (Ancient) Hieroglyphic keyboard, seeĪlso, Unicode Pad has the Unicode Glyphs for Egyptian Hieroglyphs and Cuneiform, see If you have an iPad, you can use Keyman and/or Unicode Pad for Egyptian and Akkadian. I wonder if there's one out there for Sumero-akkadian as well. Still, it's a very good thing that the layout is there in spite of compatibility issues. Thank you very much for the info! I did the exact same thing when I mapped my other keyboards because of the familiarity with Ezra SIL.Īnd I must say that the hieroglyph layout is exceptionally sophisticated - The guy who made this is a genuine craftsman! But if memory serves, Tavultesoft's Keyman Desktop doesn't work on Mac, though. With Yehudit they consistently appears on the left hand end of the line.ĭid you make a custom keyboard layout for all the hieroglyphs from scratch? If so, nicely done! I've been making a few myself for Ugaritic, Phoenician and Samaritan, but I haven't dared making layouts for syllabic cuneiform and hieroglyphs yet. And its worse if you use something like Cardo where the new characters appear on the right also. Regarding 2 if you mean that typing Hebrew text from a Hebrew keyboard doesn't place the cursor on the left where the characters appear that's true enough. I have never tried Hieroglyphics at all I'm afraid so I would have work to do there. I do not (yet) read Hebrew and while I have Hebrew keyboards set up I do not know if I can set the Windows lang to Hebrew. Item 2 and 4 are a bit hard for me to test. Item 5 would be handy as would the ability to begin typing the letters in a font name and have the menu relocate to that items beginning with those characters. Item 3 I can and logged a separate issue concerning it another issue in I would have assumed you used Unicode export also, but I note that your notes file seems to be using Yehudit in the first image which I believe is not Unicode. I'm using Cardo and I use Unicode export. I know it isn't a bug, but it takes a while to scroll through the fonts could you add a bar to click and hold so we could scroll through our font more quickly? I also can't type hieroglyphics in the notes like I can in MS Word, Libre Office, etc.ĥ. My Unicode Egyptian Hieroglyphic fonts do not copy and paste into the notes. If I choose TimesNewRoman, Stencil shows up, again, nine above TNR on my font list.Ĥ. If I scroll and choose a different font, I don't get the font I selected - e.g., I selected Ezra SIL, and Estranglo Talada showed up in the box (which is nine above Ezra SIL on my fonts list). If I change the Windows language to Hebrew, type a Hebrew word, and then the spacebar, the cursor goes to the right of the Hebrew word.ģ. If I select it and change to another Unicode font, it looks even worse see Screenshot 2.Ģ. If I copy from HMT-4 and paste it into a Note, it doesn't all display correctly see Screenshot 1. I just got Accordance 11, and found bugs with typing/copying Unicode Hebrew and Hieroglyphics in the Notes.ġ. They provide more structure to your writing and are either neutral or positive in nature. To do so, navigate to the root of your project and run: doxygen -g If there is no Doxyfile yet, you can simply let Doxygen generate a standard template. Note: If you stick to the related example project on GitHub, you can omit the next step. Once installed, all you need is a project with Doxygen-compatible comments and a Doxyfile, a configuration file that controls the behavior of Doxygen. On Debian-based systems, you can install it by running: sudo apt-get install doxygen Usage Open a terminal and run: sudo dnf install doxygen On Fedora, Doxygen is available as a package. The example is available on GitHub, and I will also include references to different sections of the Doxygen manual and documentation. The C++ example project below will illustrate how the source code is commented and how the documentation is generated from it. Doxygen then walks through your source files and creates HTML or LaTeX documentation based on those special comments. To use Doxygen, you simply comment your source code in a syntax that Doxygen can read. While Doxygen is mainly used to document C++, you can use it for many other languages, like C, Objective-C, C#, PHP, Java, Python, and more. Doxygen enables you to provide a comprehensive overview of the structure of your code without additional effort. Meet Doxygen, an open source tool for generating HTML or LaTeX documentation based on comments in the code. Those areas are then ignored by the compiler or interpreter when the source code is processed.Ĭomments don't take the place of documentation, but there is a way to use your comments to produce documentation easily. All programming languages offer a special syntax to mark a word, a line, or a whole section as a comment. In the same way, whenever you are programming, whether for yourself or for others, it is good practice to comment your own code. When trying to familiarize yourself with someone else's project, you usually appreciate the comments left behind that help you understand the meaning of their code.
